Welcome to the Brumback Lab!
The scientific focus of the lab is to understand how abnormal neuronal electrophysiology contributes to the cognitive symptoms of neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism. We use in vivo and ex vivo electrophysiology combined with modern tools for manipulating neuronal activity such as optogenetics to test hypotheses about how the activity of specific populations of neurons contributes to behavior.
Please submit an email to Dr. Brumback (firstname.lastname@example.org) with a cover letter describing your career goals, your past and future projects, what you hope to bring to the lab, and what you hope to get out of the Brumback lab. Please include your CV and the names, emails, and phone numbers of three references.
